TO WILLSAINT81: THIS IN THE NFL RULE BOOK IMAGINE THAT!!

Consider Rule 17, Section 2, Article 1: “The Commissioner has the sole authority to investigate and take appropriate disciplinary and/or corrective measures if any club action, non-participant interference, or calamity occurs in an NFL game which the Commissioner deems so extraordinarily unfair or outside the accepted tactics encountered in professional football that such action has a major effect on the result of the game.”

Even though Rams defensive back Nickell Robey-Coleman admits that he opted to wipe out Saints receiver Tommylee Lewis because Robey-Coleman believed he’d been beaten for a touchdown, it’s hard to imagine this being the kind of “extraordinarily unfair” act that would have a major effect on the outcome of the game. Then again, the rule is there for a reason; if ever it would be invoked, wouldn’t now be the time to do it?

And here’s where it gets even juicier. Consider Rule 17, Section 2, Article 3: “The Commissioner’s powers under this Section 2 include . . . the reversal of a game’s result or the rescheduling of a game, either from the beginning or from the point at which the extraordinary act occurred.”

Basically, the Commissioner has the power to turn back time to the spot of the penalty that wasn’t called, put the teams back on the field from that point in the game, give the Saints first and goal at the spot of the foul, put 1:49 on the clock, and let the game proceed, tied at 20, with the Rams having one time out left.

Brees is fine. Give him legit slot WR (Edelman type) and pass catching TE. Those positions were non existent in our offense. Even when he scrambles there are no players who are open.

It hurts.
I agree with everyone.

I HATE for the party to end. These past 14 years looking at the Saints.....I won’t go personal here, but it was really something constant and magical to look forward to.
I don’t want to leave the circus and go home as the saying goes.
Rebuilding years will happen.
Brees cannot play forever.
Coach Sean and staff will not stay forever.
I really wanted , hoped, for Ms.Gayle, SeanP and staff, BREES, Kamara , Griffin, all these young guys, to get this chance because it is last chance for SeaP and staff, BREES.

I want Brees to retire out on a high note.
Had he taken them to SB and yeah, lost, I could see him retiring after 2019 season. Complete. A high note.

I really thought Saints would win and ugly W yesterday and lose SB to NEPats.
So what!!

For us Saints fans, that would have been a W.
Saints would have had a parade for not winning SB, lol.

I really wanted to see NewOrleans vs. NewEngland.
NFC Champ game at home.
SB right up I-10 in Atl. So many NewOrleanians have family and friends who live there and moved there well before the hurricane.

It would have been sweet.

I would like to see Brees retire and tell the league to shove it because he was robbed.

I'd like to know what happened to that Tra'quan Smith that smoked our defense in Training Camp - he only showed up for one, maybe two games all year...

It’s very apparent that his arm is not capable of strong and accurate throws beyond 30yds. As the season went on our offense cooled and while I think there are many reasons for that Drew’s age catching up to him was the biggest.

Would like to see what Teddy can do with the real team to play with.
And the stupidest comment award goes to..........

IDK JP, Smith was balling against scrubs most of the pre season.

Circling back to SP in training camp when he stated he lacks "burst" in the lower half of his body. This could very well be a major reason why he disappeared this year. If you can't separate at this level, you won't win one on one match ups. Michael Thomas isn't a burner by no means, however he knows how to separate vs MAN coverage.

I think 3quan Smith makes a substantial improvement in year #2. He simply needs time to develop his craft. After all he is a rookie & it takes time, especially at the WR position.
