I know what you mean. The stress alone might be what take me out. After the interception I had to turn the TV off and wait to hear about a 57 yard field goal. Of course I rewind it back to see how the defense was fighting them

I’d also like to ditch Kurt Coleman and replace him with Tyrann Matthieu.

If Cameron Meredith is back next year and makes an impact, Tre'Quan Smith develops like I think he will in the off-season, we find a decent pass catching TE, and Brees doesn't fall off the cliff..... I think we'll be the best team in the league and it won't even be close.

We need to also avoid injuries on the O-line...this obviously hurt us.

Our only downfall. Things on O were record breaking good until Armstead went down. Could have kept going even with our current receivers. They may have developed even faster.

I think our pass defense will improve with Patrick Robinson back too.

Add 2 safeties to the list, cause Marcus Williams ain’t no Ed Reed. Sorry.

And a brick to keep Payton’s foot on the dang gas.

Killer instinct? Where’d it go the last 4-5 games of the season? Never was able to regain the scoring, and it wasn’t because of Ted Ginn Jr.

Dallas exposed us for whatever reason and we never recovered.

Ready to move on after year 2 on Williams ?

Who do you have in mind? Earl Thomas? Clinton Dix? Tyrann?

I don’t know but this dude is NEVER around the ball on a deep pass.

May not be his fault for all these Ed Reed comparisons during training camp, but he’s consistently coming in from 20 yards out just to get in on the play.

More receivers have dropped passes due to open field than by marcus williams

2nd round: TE
5th: NT
6th: S
7th: OG

Gotcha.

The reason I asked is because it's tricky for me to judge Marcus this season the way he was used playing single high safety. I don't know but of 2 NFL safeties in the league who can cover BOTH sides in today's game, especially the way a lot of QB's can move away with one look, then throw to the other side.

From my untrained eye, I see a player who is being used as a "last resort" and to not get beat deep with a TD rather than becoming the Ed Reed, ball hawking safety which his skill set was as described by analyst and scouts leading up to the draft.

I'm not down on Marcus just yet. I think he improves in year 3.
