I'm not trying to be negative, but Drew had a pretty crappy second half of the season if we are being honest.

After not throwing a pick for around 8 weeks, he then throws a pick in like 7 straight games.

Flip back to yesterday, Brees was missing wide open receivers all over the place, there were 2 consecutive third and long plays where he threw to a covered Dan Arnold when Tre'quan had come free over the middle with no defender, then Brees badly missed a wide open Ginn on the next play.

Inside the 10, just threw the ball at Thomas feet which stopped the clock.

His arm strength is waining and he's aint the gun slinger anymore, it's sad but teams play down more because they know we don't have much of a vertical passing game anymore.

Unless Payton is convinced Bridgewater is the future, I agree. But a once in a franchise history QB like Brees has to be given every chance to prove it was just a slump. I don't want him to leave anything on the table when he walks away.

Its like that for pretty much all teams but one each year.

I'll throw in a little perspective for y'all, kinds born 2000 and later will pretty much all remember the Saints as one of the best franchises in the leauge, a SB win and multiple playoff runs, great players and records broken. That is what the Saints have become. The bad ol' days where the Saints were a laughingstock is gone.

Do we re sign Ingram is the big question. I feel we will let him walk.

I hope we find a way to re sign Ingram.

Fingers crossed on a healthy return for Rankins and Patrick Robinson.

I don't know if Drew has the deep ball anymore to compliment a player like DeSean. We always need a burner though and Ginn is getting older.

I didn't mean the Saints should sign DJ literally ... just guys who will be available in FA this off season. We desperately need a solid #2 ... a guy who can get open. As you saw what happens when Thomas is doubled. Meredith, 3quan Smith, Kirkwood are still unproven & question marks. A guy like Tate solves a lot of issues.

I hope we have our eye on TE Jessie James from Pitt. Dan Arnold is too much of a "work in progress" for my taste.

I don’t. I think he’s too important in the locker room and too good a compliment to Kamara. He knows his role as part of a duo and will probably be ok with a contract that reflects that.

I hope the Front office can find a way. Remember these guys early on in 2018 ? ....

Jonathan Williams
Boston Scott
Shane Vareen
Terrance West
Mike Gillislee

If for some reason Mark does walk, better have a solid Plan B to compliment AK in the run department.

The usual talk of noodle arm Drew Brees. I've heard this discussion since 2010 (that's 9 years ago now).

When you're 2nd leading wide receiver is Kamara who is a runningback, that means we have 1 legit threat wide receiver. Dez Bryant getting hurt may have changed the outcome of many things.

Thomas and Dez (if he returns) makes 2 legit receivers... maybe.... We should carry 4 legit receivers. We also have backups at tight end. Free agency will be interesting.

Go all out in free agency. We probably have one year left with Brees so I want to sign everyone possible who can contribute.

Don't forget that we have Cameron Meredith that never got the opportunity to play fully healthy still under contract. As it was he caught 90% of his targets in his short time playing. Carr needs to go. He's become a waste of roster space. Kirkwood has potential and Smith needs to learn how to become more aggressive from Thomas.
