Re: 2019 Saints NFL Free Agency
So decide to pay them that to come in for off-season or let 'em sit out and bring them in cheaper in the third week of pre-season games?
Some receivers don't learn their lesson from the Wes Welker experience - valuable, not invaluable to the offense, replaceable and would do better to accept their earnings ceiling... |

Good! Sounds like we are targeting Humphries. |

Re: 2019 Saints NFL Free Agency
2018 lacked a true slot receiver & TE. I really don't care who we bring in as long as the production and the ability to create separation is there.
Once MT is blanketed/doubled, it's over. |

Payton doesn't trust Josh Hill and I think that's why we saw some forced action to Dan Arnold who definitely flashed some tremendous potential, even if he's raw at a new position, learning on the NFL fly, no less... But, at the end of the day, we still had a Top 5 offense that should have won the Superbowl... Can't help but bring up that with those older veterans breaking down, we peaked too early in the season and faded which is why teams (i.e. Pats) with young drafted players always come on in the playoffs... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Both could blossom however Tre better get his mental game turned around quickly. You just can't rely on them outside of being wide open (even Tre dropped a few of those). Route running & technique must improve. Wide receivers shouldn't struggle as much with Brees throwing them the ball. If the likes of Hakeem Butler, Parris Campbell (Ohio St) or even Ridley falls to us in the 2nd and he's the best player available on your draft board ... take him. |

Tre'Quan was a 3rd round pick WR, that's usually a year of development before seeing significant snaps on the field on most teams, but need forced him on sooner... |

Re: 2019 Saints NFL Free Agency
The one thing I don't get to do is interview these guys and look them in the eyes; Saints, specifically Loomis/Payton, need to do more of that and less of the referral system...
