Maybe the front office didn't have enough "trust" in Ziggy's shoulder or his ability to stay on the field .. specifically in late November.
Saints still need another DE though. |

Defenses are going to have issues covering Cook in 2019. Thomas should have less double teams, especially when SP lines up Kamara in the slot.
RedZone, up the seams etc. Jared's ability to separate is key for me with that initial burst off the line. The Cook FA signing is exactly what Drew & the run game needs ... someone to keep linebackers honest. |

Saints need another DE that is for sure. After Cam Jordan and Davenport, it gets kind of sketchy. |
