Other than drafting Zach Allen, which we needed a Center more, I like what we have to work with going into Training Camp - But, you're absolutely right that's a void that someone better step up into for us or the defense will regress...

And, Davenport may not be worth two first round picks, but he'd better be a force for us opposite Cam, especially with Rankins possibly out for the year. Big "O" has a helluva opportunity to seize that position and I for one hope he does...

I'm still concerned about what the league intends (suspension) to do as it relates to the marijuana "issue".

Not sure they're going to do anything. It was a misdemeanor citation for certain items on the premises. They don't even hand down suspensions for first time actual failed tests and to the best of my knowledge I am unaware of any "failed test".

There are two types of drug testing in the NFL - Performance Enhancing Substances (PES) and Substance of Abuse (SOA). They have different rules. Failing a test for PES can result in an immediate suspension. Failing a test for SOA will advance the player to the next level of the program. There are three stages. An initial failure places the player in stage one which mandates more testing. A failure in stage two can result in a four game suspension - if the substance is NOT marijuana. If the substance is marijuana it simply increases the number of tests possible and lengthens the time in the program. Another marijuana failure can result in a four game suspension and stage three in which a failed test can result in a one year ban.

I guess Sean Payton, Jeff Ireland and the "Mickster" did the right thing in trading up in the 4th round to select David O huh .

IMO the Saints office/scouting dept has done a hell of a job over the last 3, 4 years in finding talent on both sides of the ball .

Hot take .. I'm calling it now. Erik McKoy and Gardner-Johnson will become studs in New Orleans.

Alrighty, here we go - we wouldn't have had to trade up for the Big O (Outstanding Pick, Good Job By Ireland's Scouting Team), had we not used two picks to move up and take Vonn Bell...

New England used the third round pick to select Guard Joe Thuney, who made the All Rookie Team...

And the fourth we traded was eight picks ahead of where we took Onyemata...

See that's four picks for two players - and Payton and his yes-man the Mickster overpaid for each of them...

Worth mentioning - was told Ireland encouraged we get that fourth back that was part of the deal to move up and take a ridiculously fallen Chauncey Gardner - Mickster is at best a capologist, not a negotiator...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
