Re: 2019 Saints NFL Free Agency
Not sure they're going to do anything. It was a misdemeanor citation for certain items on the premises. They don't even hand down suspensions for first time actual failed tests and to the best of my knowledge I am unaware of any "failed test".

Re: 2019 Saints NFL Free Agency
There are two types of drug testing in the NFL - Performance Enhancing Substances (PES) and Substance of Abuse (SOA). They have different rules. Failing a test for PES can result in an immediate suspension. Failing a test for SOA will advance the player to the next level of the program. There are three stages. An initial failure places the player in stage one which mandates more testing. A failure in stage two can result in a four game suspension - if the substance is NOT marijuana. If the substance is marijuana it simply increases the number of tests possible and lengthens the time in the program. Another marijuana failure can result in a four game suspension and stage three in which a failed test can result in a one year ban.

IMO the Saints office/scouting dept has done a hell of a job over the last 3, 4 years in finding talent on both sides of the ball . Hot take .. I'm calling it now. Erik McKoy and Gardner-Johnson will become studs in New Orleans. |

See that's four picks for two players - and Payton and his yes-man the Mickster overpaid for each of them... Worth mentioning - was told Ireland encouraged we get that fourth back that was part of the deal to move up and take a ridiculously fallen Chauncey Gardner - Mickster is at best a capologist, not a negotiator... |
