It usually is a disadvantage - unless the player has the talent to overcome that disadvantage. If they clearly did then they most likely would not have gone undrafted. The point Kirwan was making was that excessive height in itself is not a positive trait in football.

Re: 2019 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
As an aside, the four hours of NFL Radio's Moving the Chains with Pat Kirwan and Jim Miller makes the cost of SiriusXM radio well worth the outlay. They cover the intricacies of the game in detail. Personnel groupings, blocking schemes, play calling, defensive sets, receiver routes, etc. 11:00 AM to 3:00 central time.

But productivity was much better with Classic Rock, and that's how we rolled... At the end of the day with regard to DE's, their physical attributes dictate style and the better plays always find a way and with the success of those guys mentioned, height's not an issue, but heart, soul, mind... |

Re: 2019 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
I counted 13 WR's on the active roster. 13!
I see no reason why we won't have a legit #2 behind Michael Thomas this season. The question I have is who will emerge? Cameron Meredith is my guy. |

Have more reservations about Meredith than you, but if he finally hits - it will be gold! |

Re: 2019 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
JP - give me your thoughts on Emmanuel Butler. I know a lot of people are excited to have Jordan Humphries in camp but just watching some tape, I think Butler has a better shot at making the team, and/or practice squad based on his route running & ability to separate.
