this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; It's like you don't want to see the guy succeed. That's pretty sad. I still can't believe that you are the guy that is always... I mean always talking about give receivers time to develop. Look how horrible Javon Walker ...

It's like you don't want to see the guy succeed. That's pretty sad. I still can't believe that you are the guy that is always... I mean always talking about give receivers time to develop. Look how horrible Javon Walker was his first 2 years in the league... couldn't catch a basketball if you threw it at him. Now look what he's doing... notice how Driver (it also took Driver a 3/4 years) got injured for just a bit and Walker thrived. Now they make a deadly 1-2 punch. Look at how horrible Joe was... look at the time it took for Hines Ward to develop. Go ahead an check out their performance and you'll see it's looks like Stallworth is headed in the right direction. I bet he'd be even better if he didn't sustain those injuries so early in his career, but that's just my opinion.
Other examples... Troy Brown, Tim Brown, Drew Bennett, Derrick Mason, etc... I can go on and on. Doesn't look like a bad list does it? Give Stallworth a break... I bet everyone was thrilled the day he was drafted... and now so quick to give up on his talent. You would be lying to yourself if you said the guy doesn't have the physical makeup to be "the man." |

I think Stallworth can be the #1 receiver in the future -- I think he really came on at the end of last season -- and if he can put together a whole season we will be okay --

I don't think you can look at that kind of stuff, its more whether what system you have and can the WR be the guy to fit that system.
Stallworth in Horn place adequite replacement for a few games maybe but to keep and hold the position for a couple of years... I don't think so. Stallworth type player needs someone to complement him on the opposite side. |

The reason I brought it up is because it isnt very common to have two recievers with over 1000 recieving. If Joe is Aarons go to guy so he favors him. If there was no Joe who knows.
