The Patriots were geniuses to send him packing to the Rams. I don't care what anyone says. Offloading Cooks allowed them the room to transition their offense into something more run-heavy to accommodate for Brady's age. Their 41 year old QB got to game-manage most of the year.

On the other hand, Cooks was one of their key problems in that SB loss. I cannot get that play out of my head where they did the end-around run on 4th down and Cooks clearly had the speed to outrun the guy, but instead runs directly to him and tries to jump over him. (facepalm).

Rams fans argued with me that Cooks was better than MT, but you saw in the Super Bowl how he couldn't catch in the end zone on the play before Goff's INT. He's still a slot receiver at best. Gets shut down by just any kind of DB that can play aggressive.
