We are Saints fans. By that, and knowing the torture we willingly submit to it would be reasonable to question all of our intelligence... |

Re: Saints vs Vikings Game Day Thread
We all poke at each other but it should never get personal. We are all on the same side of the field after all and I would like to think that if anyone ever needed help we would all try to assist if we could.
Whether in the barracks, locker-room, or as brothers, guys break each others balls, just a fact of life. Hopefully its all in good fun. |

Personally, I feel the preseason has very little relation to what we will see in the regular season. Under today's CBA regulated limited contact training camps the preseason games have turned into an extension of the camp itself and nothing more. Explain to me why I am mistaken (even though persons envolved in the process have expressed these same observations I simply repeat) and I will honestly consider those opinions. |

Grant it, we played very vanilla, but it shouldnt look like those 11 guys are merely a flashing yellow light between the 25 yd line and the goal line. |

Once again, my issue is with projecting upon the regular season based upon a pretty much meaningless (in the big scheme of things) preseason game. Hopefully it will help weed out those not making the cut. On another note, I'm wondering what has happened to the claims of doomed attached to Latavius Murray coming into the game. Injured. Cannot be depended upon in the passing game. |

Re: Saints vs Vikings Game Day Thread
Murray looks like a good fit at signing and now. Didn't have any issue through camp or now. He should contribute in the run & pass game heavily.
The 'effort' note is not good for the culture of any defense, preseason or otherwise. That's an attitude that Cam brings on the field. Without him, we have a small sample size of our 1s sans Cam. Hope it's an anomaly, but there was a difference in intensity without him on the field. |

But, I repeat, all we have seen is a very slightly practiced squad consisting in a large manner of players that will not make the final squad. It is a bit early to make any judgments of the regular season expectations. This in not directed toward you, Barry, but those who were projecting toward the "real" roster. |
