Hate as in his "Keep On Smilin" after the interceptions he'd throw?

Like a surgeon botching an operation on a loved one and coming out and slapping the family on the back and laughing "I really blew that procedure, I'm sorry they're dead! Ya'll want to go out for pizza?"
