I get the love for ozigbo but it wasn’t that much of a surprise cut. Washington was better at many aspects, knows the playbook and is a good special teams player. Rodgers also looked better running the ball than ozigbo. I liked his potential but he is a guy that should make it to the PS. What I didn’t like is how bad he looked when taking contact, he wasn’t the power back that’s falling forward and getting tough yards, he was getting blown up by hits from 2nd string guys... doesn’t he weigh 230?

The Saints are 0-42 when running the ball less than 15 times in a game.

He does fall forward a lot. It's his way of getting another couple of yards since he doesn't have the ability to break it. Washington isn't sexy either but, he is a better athlete and has proven experience. Totally with Payton on this one. |

We also need to remember that they play against equal or inferior talent during pre season. Hated to see Butler go the most but it is what it is. Really wanted to see him on the field with the first team. Wish we would have kept a 3 rd TE though. |
