Brees would never throw it in the dirt on the snap. He threw it in the dirt on the snap a couple of times. Go back and watch it. It blew me away because I have never seen a QB do that so quick. It is a defeatism attitude to do so when on one, he could have easily ran for a first down. No defending that approach from any vantage point. It's a quitter mentality.

Agree! Bridgewater is not a quitter. He seemed completely unprepared though and really isn't all that talented. I think his heart is in the right place, he just doesn't have the skills.

I gave you a like cause I agree with most of this, except the Bridgewater part. I don't think he's a quitter. As much as he frustrates me, he came back from some horrifying injuries earlier in his career.

The Pats win without Brady for a number of reasons but the two main ones are that they usually have great depth on offense and don't have to overly rely on Brady (Last year Brady was an average QB. Sony Michel was their offensive MVP and they rested him in time for the playoffs). The other reason is that they're simply better coached than us. You don't see them having constant penalties on the offensive side of the ball. I know everyone just screams refs over this, but it's a problem after 2 games we can't stop drawing flags on false starts, holds and illegal formations. It's frustrating seeing the Rams get away with it, I know, but it's something we've got to fix.

Penalties Saints 11-87 Rams 8-65

Statistics don't show key situation penalties.

Of lack thereof ... Cam Jordan non TD was a huge shift in momentum.

Okay, one that's not likely to be popular.

Have we given big money to a WR that without Brees ability to pass into tight spaces is not worth the contract yet again making no separation today. Teams are not scared of him over the top so without Brees being able to hit him where only he can snag it is he going to produce, because if he can't Kamara is going to be facing 8 man fronts.

Peat absolutely sucked.

The refs definitely swung this game, but it would have been close either way and with them screwing you it's no chance.

The Bridgewater money looks a waste, though he deserves next week to see if he's any better.

Payton just tossed the line under the bus... said he is comfortable with Teddy and he needs better line play cause they got whipped.

Being at the game.. I saw it completely different Teddy was holding onto the ball for too long and missing wide open WRs. By wide open I mean having Ginn 20yards away from anyone and cook in the back of the end zone with no one around him... Teddy isn’t a starter anymore, arguably never was, he is a game manager. Season is lost if Payton doesn’t start Hill, Brees is out for the season.

The Saints are 0-42 when running the ball less than 15 times in a game.
