Somehow, ya'll gonna have to get used to the Saints facing two opponents on the field, injuries and poor play on both sides of the ball.

D played well today.

I'll still be here.

Marcus Davenport is being used too free up the other pass rushers, he was doubled teamed heavy, but it looked like he had constant pressure for what he's asked to do. His role is different from last year.

Run offense is still bad, Andrus Peat last year as a Saint unless something changes, but the crazy thing is It's only week 2. The defense may have regressed, the interior DLine is soooooo bad. We aren't effective in the run anymore. Y'all talking bout bad players so far this year ANZALONE looks baaaad

Re: Observations from Saints' loss at Rams

1. I was expecting much more from Cooks than this. He had a couple of drops and that "INT" by Brees was all on him.

2. No push from the O-line in the running game. At all. This is probably my main concern if Brees is out for an extended time. A backup absolutely needs a running game to help him out.

3. Pretty good pressure on Goff. 3 more sacks and lot of hits on him.

4. Too many big holes in the middle of the defence. We seem to lack the ability to stay with the WRs long enough.

5. Smith showing flashes again at WR before him getting hurt.

6. Surprised we saw Ginn go completely without catches when we have a depleted group of WRs.

7. Run D okay but not great. Giving up 115 yards is pretty alright.

8. Didn't look like a great game for Lattimore. He seemed like a step to slow most of the game.

9. Hendrickson active again and with the sack/strip.

10. Aaron Donald is the best player in football right now.

W.T. Sherman is my favorite General. After all he did order Atlanta to be burned to the ground.

Agree! Bridgewater is not a quitter. He seemed completely unprepared though and really isn't all that talented. I think his heart is in the right place, he just doesn't have the skills.

Re: Observations from Saints' loss at Rams

Suspected this offensive line was in trouble for some time now; the offensive line issues became evident yesterday without Drew Brees to mask deficits...

Mr. Glass, who's grown tired of the social media call-out for his part-time effort I'm told, was beaten badly several times and missed several inside zone switch blocks - he's not worth what we're paying him...

Peat is a Left Tackle, not a Left Guard, and he's not even that with as poor shape he came in to camp; he's been a pouty b*tch since he didn't win the LT job and it shows. He's gone after the season...

McCoy played well, for a rookie, but the schedule makers did him no favors, nor his confidence. He's gonna be better, but he's got to take the next evolutionary step as a Center and take the lead of this unit...

Warford was ever bit as bad as Peat and was finally exposed as an overweight fraud. Nearly all NFL run games success is directly attributable to the play of the Right Guard, and he's failed consistently vs elite DTs...

Ramczyk, currently the No. 2 graded OT by PFF, had a solid game. When his contract extension comes due, we should move on from Mr. Glass and put him/pay him at LT; a Right Tackle will be much easier to find...

Clapp, I'd hoped, might be a difference with the poor showing by Peat. His functional strength is still wanting, he'll be okay vs non-elite defensive line, but if he wants a full time job, he'd better hit the weights...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Clapp played no worse than former 1st rounder Andrus Peat.

Collectively, the Saints O line played poorly.

Re: Observations from Saints' loss at Rams

Havent posted here in a long time. I do keep up with the NFL a little. More of a casual fan now. Whoch is strange since i loved the NFL for a very long time. Loved it. It is becoming sort of like baseball and basketball for me. I keep up on the standings but not much else. Right now im a little more invested than that, but not a ton. I did watch the game yesterday.

The oline got their ass absolutely kicked. I have defended Peat for a long time, but dude really is the soft link. Not to say the rest of the line played well, because we got throttled upfront.

The refs....exactly why I am such a casual fan has continued to, absurdly, administer their BS. The amount of holding calls were ridiculous. Cam gets held like that nearly every frigan down and we cannot buy a call.

Teddy cannot make decisions. He waits too long. Some of it was WR not open, sometimes far too much pressure, but other times he was just not able to decide. For instance a third down where he could have run and just sat there trying to decide before throwing a bad pass.

I would give it another week with teddy getting all the snaps and see what he produces. If nothing then i would gove TH a shot. He has an xfactor and sometimes people surprise.

That said, TH did a lot of what he did ahainst aubpar talent. No way to know if he can produce against firat string players...but if TB cannot get it done cant hurt to try.

Pur defense got gassed yeaterday. We have huge holes in the secondary, but it seems every year our defense starts loke thos and then improves. So wait and see.

Teddy wasnt the complete failure yesterday, the oline was. Thats why teddy was in in the first place, isnt it?

16 games in a season. But yesterday we got our but kicks and the refs didnt help.

Take the refs out of it, add drew, and i still think we lose. They had more emotion.

Peat was just flat out terrible. I have defended him too but I but he came in soft and has regressed back to being soft again.
