Brees out roughly 6 weeks

Can we get to 4-4 with Teddy or Taysom at QB?

If they can establish some type of tempo and chemistry /rhythm on offense maybe. I don’t know if taking a dual QB approach would help or hurt that.
TB just doesn’t seem to be able to give that spark players need to come together

Regardless of who we go with at QB, we need to run the ball better. Even Brees wasn’t going to do well with a lack of a running game and it’s looked bad these first 2 weeks.

We need to establish the run... 10-6 is still possible

Saints QB Drew Brees to have surgery to repair torn ligament in thumb, expected to miss 6 weeks

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees tore a ligament in the thumb on his injured throwing hand vs. the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday and will miss the next six weeks, a source confirmed to The Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate.

Brees will have surgery to repair the damage, the source said.

NFL.com's Ian Rapoport first reported the news.

The specific ligament torn is the ulnar collateral ligament in his thumb, according to a report from former NFL team doctor David Chao.

Brees said after the game that he felt it immediately and couldn't grip the ball, adding that he's never had a harder time gripping a football in his career.

"This felt like something a bit more significant and prevented me from gripping the ball," Brees said, adding later that he was concerned.

The schedule for the Saints (1-1) over the next several weeks includes games at Seattle, vs. Dallas, vs. Tampa, at Jacksonville, at Chicago and vs. Arizona.

10-6 is this team's ceiling and was their ceiling before the year started. They have serious issues that run deeper than the QB position. Brees has been masking this team's flaws and weaknesses for quite some time.

We'll be lucky to go 7-9 now.

I think Teddy will be given some time as the starter... the next 2 games are his (we will lose both), then pressure will mount for Hill to start.

Either way, if we can be a run first team we could go 4-4. In our division 4-4 might not be a bad start lol

10-6 wasn’t the ceiling with Brees... lol

We could have gone 13-3 easily. The schedule gets soft after these first 4 games.

Completely disagree. Defense regressing a bit and still having issues on offense would've prevented 13-3.

It was a miracle they got to 13-3 last year with how bad they looked in December. They haven't looked the same since then. It's beginning to remind me of the Packers collapse with Aaron Rodgers. They were 12-4 and looked like a contender even after losing the NFCCG to Seattle. Started 5-0 in 2015 and then it was all downhill after that Broncos game.

Monday morning QBing is so easy...

It was a miracle we weren’t champs last year, but because of 1 bad call by the refs we would have been the best team (at least in the NFC, could have beat the pats). What games last year do you think we were lucky to win?
