Marshon seems to be motivated vs individual matchups because he definitely had some lapses in zone coverage yesterday - DA will need to find ways to keep him focused in that regard...

Lattimore is no where near an island, shut-down half-the-field guy yet, as he's got to work on the total game...

But the individual athleticism, skills to shut down an elite WR was on proud display yesterday...

Players took Drew's getting hurt pretty seriously. Nobody ever figured we would go 3-0 with Drew.

Positives:
-Our D line is a joy to watch. Haven't been able to say that since those great lines of the late 90's/early 2000's.

-Mike Thomas is the best WR in the game.

-Kamara isn't from this planet.

-Lattimore has gotten his mojo back.

-O line played it's best game of the season in pass protection.

-Teddy played like the Teddy I believed we were getting when he was brought in. He's not Drew Brees, but he's a good QB and I'm comfortable with him back there.

Negatives:
-Still need someone else to step up in the passing game. Cook made a few plays, but needs to be consistent.

-Harris needs to spend the entire week just fielding punts, nothing else.

-Hate Dennis Allen's playcalling when we have more than a one possession lead late in the game. Wish he'd stay aggressive.

Overall it was a great game. Very proud of the way the whole team has stepped up in Drew's absence. I think he probably sits out one more game and then we get him back in time for Chicago. I expect to be sitting at 6-1 by the end of that game.

One tough SOB, wanted to draft him after he did this to Davenport in the Senior Bowl Game Practices...

I respectfully disagree.

Who cares if Amari wasn't 100% last week. He had almost 226 yards vs the Packers in a losing effort on yesterday. 226 yards. Against Latt he was shut down.

Fast forward to the elite WR in Evans the following week. 0 receptions on 2 targets and Marshon shadowed him on 43 of 53 snaps. Evans who is a stud had no answer, no separation, no productivity.

Just like Deion Sanders said on his show yesterday ... "Lattimore is a dawg all day, took away a lot of the playing field and is quickly approaching shutdown territory".

It’s got to be by design. We have played some pretty stout run defenses Tampa’s being the best in the league. We haven’t really tried to commit to the run. At the end of the Seattle and Tampa games you saw Murray get involved and he did exactly what he was supposed to do. I’m hoping to see more of that during the game rather than just doing it to close.
