I’m not trying to dump on Brees here, but yeah he doesn’t have the zip on his passes anymore for those 15 yard out routes. It’s pretty much slants, crossing routes and the check down’s to RB’s. Which is fine when everything’s clicking.

Which is exactly what TB does at a fraction of the price.

Yeah. Winston is well known for reading defenses and NOT throwing pics. Lol.

Look, I get it. Brees isnt a young man anymore. But can we end this discussion? It's boring. He's still a very good QB.

Last week was definitely an outlier. The OL was mostly to blame which was an outlier in itself.

Worked well for Brady all the way to another Lombardi last season.

Yep, and we have a perfect combo in MT and Kamara to have success with it. I’d love to get Krishawn Hogan more involved in the passing game because he has an excellent build and physicality judging by his run blocking.

Another receiver that’s 1/2 of Thomas on the other side of the field would extend Brees career another 2 years. We can only hope. Cook and Murray eventually caught on I’m hoping the same will happen with one of our other receivers in the next game or two. Somebody has to emerge to have a legit shot at the SB.
Interesting how our Oline didn’t miss a beat without Peat.

Also show how important Armstead can be to the success of the offense. He was over the the flu and was an anchor to the line.

Yea I say that every year. Just shut up about him and not say his name. His pectorals might hear.

The Atlanta game was a mirage. We were playing great and going to play a 1-7 team. When Atlanta is playing their best football, they are probably one of the better teams in the league. We took them for granted and got spanked. I'm not sure why Atlanta waited until they were 1-7 and playing us to put forth an effort, but that's pretty much what happen. We got punched in the mouth and never recovered. The same thing won't happen on Thanksgiving.

There’s going to be a lot of people crying when Drew’s gone I’m going to be the first in line [emoji22]

I feel sorry for whomever the QB is that will replace him. Drew brings a lot more than just QB skills to the table. He embodies all the positive traits that a QB should possess: leadership, work ethic, brains, mental toughness, competitive fire and charisma. He is the Ultimate Leader and Teammate.

We got a brief glimpse of how "critical" it can get with 2 glove Teddy for 5 weeks. And all he did was win.

But but give a team a offseason to study his habits and I believe we’re back at a 9-7 seasons

I think a lot of people are kind of overlooking how good we are based on our performance in the last few games. We lost to a 1-7 Atlanta team, barely hung on to win against Carolina, and had a pretty ugly win over Atlanta the second time. On the surface it looks like the last few weeks is the identity of this team. People forget that division games are RARELY a blowout regardless of record, team familiarity, blah, blah, blah. It’s easier to swallow a tough division loss when they are spread out but when they are scheduled so close together people tend to forget how division play goes.
I really have a feeling we are going to absolutely embarrass the 49ers. This team is due a complete game.

No, the defense and ST won. He was riding on their coat tails

particularly the secondary, not that they have been that great throughout much of the Sean Payton/Drew Brees era

Don't know what game y'all were watching, but if it weren't for Brees 5 PaTds and 1 RuTd, we're getting smoked...

...because Payton wasn't using Murray enough and the Saints secondary was giving it up like broke hoes on Fleet Day...

That last scoring drive by the Saints. I think the Great Drew Brees went 5-6, never rattled and trotted that team right back into the end zone.

It was surgical, methodical, masterful. Niners D knew he was coming and couldn't stop him. Going forward, this should scare some teams in the playoffs because you know he can still carve you up. Only thing is that we scored too early.

Brees is a LEGEND. #1 seed, 2, 3 ...whatever. I truly believe we'll still get it done in late January.
