I mean, they were getting a ton of pressure whilst Peat was in there too. I hope both of our guards are replaced this offseason.

To me it wasn't that we lost, it was how bad we lost to a team that hasn't been able to stop anyone with their defense. Our offense was inept and downright atrocious for most of the game. 0-3 in the redzone...not even trying to throw the ball into the endzone. We have all this size and height and cant get any favorable matchups in the back corner of the endzone? I'm tired of this crap and I dont want to hear anything about one bad game, a let down, nothing of the sorts. That offensive performance was offensive, period. The defense did enough to for us to be able to win the game. This was solely on the offense and the play calling. We have no big play ability and no one but MT on offense right now and this is solely on Loomis and Payton. I dont know if we can find any WRs available that are any better than what we have now.

We have to run the ball. Brees was hold onto the ball too long yesterday and our line was getting destroyed by 3 man rushes by the worst D line in the NFL. I dont think Brees is done but he is moving in the direction of a game manager and I'm worried about his arm strength and teams are game planning for that as well. We have two good RBs give them the opportunity to develop some rhythm. 9 runs a game is a recipe for rough second have of the season. This game reminded me of the Rams game.

Might be a rough ride to the end of season...better buckle up.

Just another thought...do you think that the team played harder for TB and was more focused on doing their job than they are with Brees? Just a question...

Falcons murdered our OL and handled our DL.
Lattimore and Peat injuries did not help

Cam Jordan was nullified.

We need upgrades over Trequan (nice catch though) and Ginn. It's been painfully obvious. Too bad Meredith didn't work out.

Honestly, I put this loss on Payton. I love him, and I think he's a great coach. But the whole team stunk, which is usually an indication of coaching. I'm wondering if his engagement distracted him from properly preparing the team for this game.

Is Eaton that bad to where he can't back up Peat? We played worse in the second half than we did in the first. I hate bye weeks. The strength of our team got punched in the mouth and did nothing about it. I don't understand how you come out flat after a week off for a divisional game.

The strength of our team took a knockout punch in the first half. Armstead was a shell of his normal elite self and Peat going down early like that affected both the ability to run and pass. I wish I knew what the thinking was on Clapp being active and Easton not. The Falcons' defense smelled blood in the water with no protection left on the left and took advantage. Any other game we could have probably withstood the pressure, but not with an ailing Armstead coming in. That just goes to show how important a healthy Armstead truly is to our offense.

I agree with that. A lot of people bash Armstead but our tackles are always left on an island. TA and Ram dont need help but they cant do anything to help the mess we have with the interior of our offense line.
