Re: Observations from the Saints win over the Bucs

A few years back I started saying that Brees could play well into his 40’s if the Saints would make it a priority to sign 2 pro bowl to elite receivers. He extended average receivers careers by making them look like all stars and it was time to start signing/drafting receivers who could extend Brees career. Instead we have Peat, Davenport, wasted draft capitol and crappy FA acquisitions. So here we are.
**** is about to get real from here on out minus the payback we dish out on Atlanta.

I mean if you want to measure if you suck at something, making a comparison to the Bengals is a good place to start. Yikes, that is an eye-opener.

Mike is the best in the game. Only 50 catches remain for the record. Ain’t gonna leave a lot of room for others to get theirs. Sean and Brees will make sure of that. And I don’t think it’s necessarily a good thing. Mike is gonna take a lot of hits. He’s came up gimpy on some catches the last two weeks.

Does it? Didn't two other receivers catch TD's yesterday, we're they not open? Mike is getting open, setting records, we're winning, its not a bad thing. The sky is not falling.

If you don't truly believe the Saints need another legit #2, 3 WR ... I'm not sure what else to tell you.

But have that same energy come playoff time when Michael gets blanketed/harassed/removed from the game plan & you have to rely on "other" guys to make a play on a crucial drive.

BTW, keep your records this team wants another Lombardi.

I do not agree. I actually like Peat over Warford and I like Warford.

They are picky but technically correct. Cooks is big and strong enought to be able to man handle small safties the right way. He needs to move his hand 4 inches and its not a problem.

He was drafted to help win football games and if that is being done by him blocking I'm fine with that.
