Observations from the Saints win over the Bucs
1. D-line brought the pressure real good today. Completely different look from a week ago. Jordan is a monster. Just a half sack shy of double digits again.
2. Nice downfield blocking by Tre Smith on a couple of runs. He reminds me a little of Henderson in that aspect. 3. Michael Thomas is the truth! I might have written that before. 4. Much better protection this week. Armstead looked like a completely different player, the way he gets out on the perimeter to block is impressive for a guy his size.. Nick Easton didn't play up to Peat's level but was a tremendous upgrade over Clapp from a week ago. 5. Brees total yards was ho hum but he completed 80% of his throws. 18 catches between MT and Kamara doesn't leave a lot of opportunities for other guys. 6. I can't remember the last time we had 4 picks in a game. Great to see Marcus Williams take one to the house. He is playing some nice football right now. 7. Eli Apple is so improved since he got here. That was a steal from the Giants. The type of thing people would be *****ing about if the situation would be reversed. 8. Good to see Kamara back to his usual self. 9. Jared Cook had his best game as a Saint in the recieving department but he needs to clean up his technique on the down field blocks. He can't have 2 penalties for holdings. 10. Kiko Alonso is really growing on me. Quality player we got for cheap that is filling in very nicely after Anzalone's injury. |
W.T. Sherman is my favorite General. After all he did order Atlanta to be burned to the ground.

#22 was a hell of a draft pick.

Re: Observations from the Saints win over the Bucs
Half agree, Half disagree.
In my opinion, Peat can stay on the bench, he's the weak link on our otherwise cohesive OL. Both Holding calls on Jared Cook were bogus, he just overpowered the DB both times - something Gronkowski used to be applauded for, yet we get flagged for it. Cam Jordan is a beast, Davenport is making his way towards bust status in my opinion - literally invisible every game day. Someone other than MT and Kamara needs to step up, the playoffs will be a short trip for us if we dont learn from last years mistakes with the receiving core. |

#11. We have no other WR's opposite M Thomas and it could catch up with us in the post season.
Michael Gallup (drafted in 3rd round w/Tre Quan Smith) had 9 receptions and 149 yards today. He continues to get it done opposite Amari Cooper, meanwhile Tre's name was only called today on a penalty. SMDH. |

- Demario Davis was all over the place. He might be a notch above Vilma to be honest.
- Loved TreQuan's basketball-style screen to get Michael Thomas the sideline and an extra 30-some yards. It's not all about catches. - Better run-blocking up the middle today. Easton made a difference in that regard I think. - Very glad we managed to close out the game and not let the Bucs turn it into a sweaty one. |

Tre is either injured, makes mental mistakes or virtually disappears (see Falcons & Bucs) in games. 0 production. You are being far too kind to this guy. He's underachieved in New Orleans. |

Re: Observations from the Saints win over the Bucs
Agreed. He should be taking advantage of Ginn's lack of ability as a #2.
