what do Cowboys have to do with clinching? Its really between the Saints/49ers/Packers.

Re: #3 / #4 seed possible on Thanksgiving
Not my site just one I frequent, but Dallas could technically win out and be 11-5.
If we beat the falcons we're no worse than 10-6 and if the Cowboys lose to Bills they can't be better than 10-6 and would lose tiebreaker to us since we beat them. Thus worse we could do at that point would be #3 seed |

There are other factors, but Cowboys losing, us winning would help us secure #3 spot. The Packers losing was the best thing for us. If the Pac had won, we’d be in a 3 way tie for #1. Packers would have the advantage. That would be bad because if ya look at the Packers remaining schedule, it’s bottom feeding teams. Now we control our own positioning. |

Re: #3 / #4 seed possible on Thanksgiving
What I heard on TV last night was if we win out from here, we're the #1 seed. If we win Thursday, we're in the playoffs....somewhere.

A win on Thursday secures the division. Guarantees a home playoff game and moves the Saints one win closer to a bye. The pack losing yesterday puts the Saints/49ers winner in complete control of HFA for the NFC. The Saints just have to do their part to get where they want to go. SFIAH |

Re: #3 / #4 seed possible on Thanksgiving
I never follow who has to win or lose for us to find out where we are in the playoffs. I just want the Saints to get the best possible seeding for the playoffs based on what we've done as a team. Of course, I would prefer the number one seed. It worked very well for us 10 years ago.
