Re: Wide Reciever
We don’t need another CGM. All we need are guys that can catch da da*n ball. Including this season Drew has 5 of the top 6 completion% seasons in NFL history. He ain’t the problem, drops are. When you watch teams around the league, players aren’t dropping passes that hit them square in the hands.

Re: Wide Reciever
Many may disagree with me but we have the best hands/WR coach in the NFL in Curtis Johnson. When he returned to the Saints we started catching balls again and making receivers from free agents and late round draft picks. When Curtis Johnson returned, he's part (and I mean part) of the reason we stopped the 7-9 seasons.
I think Cook's inconsistency hurts, and same for Tedd Ginn, Jr, but I would argue that Tedd Ginn is over the hill. Time to retire. Would love to have kept Ben Watson one more season. It just goes to show you even with the best WR coach in the business, these fools are dropping dimes hitting the palms of both hands. We need a free agent injection. I don't think Dez Bryant has recovered fully from his injury (it can take years). We'll probably put Tayson Hill at WR, but we need more..... and why don't we play Hill more?? I can't believe we clinched division and playoff birth and I'm this frustrated - dropped balls are getting ridiculous. |

Re: Wide Reciever
Latavius Murray, our #2 RB, has more catches than any WR not named Michael Thomas.

Drew was forced to hold on to the ball longer with CGM being bracketed and no one else could consistently get separation.
Another wideout isn't necessarily to try to balance out the offense and take targets away from CGM but rather when CGM isn't an option due to coverage Brees has another outlet to go to other than Kamara out the backfield. If for whatever reason we didn't pick up another playmaker like Dez that can at least draw attention we better commit to running the ball like crazy with Kamara/Murray. If we at least do that we can get other guys open down the field off the play action. |

Re: Wide Reciever
I'll tell you what other team is having serious WR troubles - Patriots. All they have is Edelman and Watson at TE.
