Ok.
Real.
Saints win with and lose with Brees.
He IS THAT good when he is on and when he is off, the whole thing falls apart.
What to do with a qb that cost a fortune and is 40?
If that qb is Brees, you keep him and let him retire from your team.
Saints have other weak spots to strengthen.

My question, comment.
Next year, if Brees is off, send in Bridgewater.
Hindsight now. Just talk.
Because Brees was off today, Hill was hot, Bridgewater was waiting in the wings, maybe they should have been sent in.

Like I said , hindsight.

Ginn, off. Kamarea has an injury and never got back like he was.

SB, Saints would not have been there.
SanFran is going all the way winning it.

Saints probably would have been knocked out by GreenBay.
If not, definitely by the 49ers.
I would have liked, really thought Saints would have won today.
Vikings are going to get crushed by GreenBay.

Respectfully, Vikings found our Achilles heel and they beat it like a drum for 3 quarters. Just like Atlanta did. We still had no answer until it was too late.

Pressure up the middle has always given Brees trouble. This is nothing new. Every team knows it. Minnesota had the D-line to succeed doing it.

Its why we have always valued interior linemen highly. Our interior line just got beat today, which is one of the reasons Brees looked so awful.

I'm positive we'll see big money or a high draft pick on OG in the offseason.

Often overlooked but the main reason we were so successful in 2009 was Carl Nicks and Jari Evans. Interior lineman are always the unsung heroes.

Yep. Especially when you have a shorter QB.. keeps those passing lanes clear in the pocket

Re: The Saints lost because...

This was an all around loss and you should be able to pick multiple options.

I have no problem with the refs from today. I don't care about a non-call at the end of the game after giving up a 40+ yard bomb pass to set them up first and goal. When Cousins dropped back and threw that bomb, I thought to myself - yep, here it is. That one big play in our playoff losses we are known for.

Brees' fumble in the red zone with 5 minutes to go was the dagger to this game. I swear by it that it was a miracle we even got to OT after that.

Minnesota should've blew us out if it weren't for them running such a conservative run-heavy game plan.

because I told you its what the league wanted. I just figured theyd make it more realistic than losing to the Vikings lol. if you are a grown man between 30 and 60 etc. and you still think youre watching a natural competition. You need to re-look at your life and perceptions. The Saints have always lost when it counts but for 2006. they arent going back for another 50 years

We lost because we had 'em and Payton called off the dogs and pulled Taysom out of the game on what was a game winning drive...

WE HAD THEM...
