I'm now concerned that the end of a HOF career is very near. He's slowly turning into Chad Pennington. It makes me sad
It makes me sad, too. That pick he threw, you could see he put his whole body into heaving that pass. It didn't go near far enough, obviously, and it hung up forever. That just doesn't get it done.

The Saints could use help at WR, but it doesn't pay to try to get a deep threat to compliment Thomas, if the QB can't get the ball out there. It's something that none of us liked to think about, but we knew this day had to come eventually.

Ya Spoilt.

Cam Newton, and his legs couldnt escape the Broncos. Nobody can play QB, when your line looks like silly putty.

But you want a runner. These are NFL defenses, honey. You're not playing Vanderbilt. Or Prairie View. You beat em out of the pocket using
your arm and your mind.

FAct time: We went 3-13 the last year we had anyone besides Brees at QB.

An aged Brees is still the best. He's still accurate. 90% of QB is half mental. He's smarter than anyone else who plays the game, including
Brady. And he can still outrun yall's Pillsbury asses, and throw the out pattern, which you cant do.

Yes, he makes too much money, unless he can block for himself. They all make
too much money. But open up a window. Some of yall need some air.

(Lets call my fav QB, Bobby out of retirement)
I hear you Mike but it's a mixed bag however Brees has declined.

Good teams revamp in the playoffs. Vikes understood we were suspect up the middle and with an aging QB, often times it created a sack, loss of yards or in our case .. huge fumble. Did you notice how Vikes FS Harrison Smith came up closer instead of playing deep as he usually does? Zimmer knew that Brees no longer has the "zip/arm strength & couldn't beat us deep. When he did attempt to, it was intercepted.

Vikes sent pressure right up the gut knowing that a non mobile QB would not be able to consistently escape. Saints were out coached with scheme and Zimmer knew our tendencies. I will say Sean Payton didn't help our QB out by not having a strong run game. Latavius Murray had 7 carries the entire ball game. Why did we sign this guy? It's the playoffs coach. There is no tomorrow.

A 13-3 team at home in the playoffs should be advancing yet we are here ... again.

Agree. Brees has made a career of "climbing the pocket" to buy time for receivers to get open and to find throwing lanes. The Vikings made sure there was no pocket to climb on Sunday.

After watching replays, that pass traveled 52 yards in the air. When it was let go, Ginn was in single coverage. Safety got there quick while ball was in the air.
We shouldn't have to throw 52 yard passes.

The problem is that, as I said, he put everything he had into that throw, and he had to put a very high arc on it to get it out there. That is an easy pick, every time.

You absolutely have to have the threat of the deep pass, if you want the intermediate stuff to open up. That, or be a dominant running team. Payton abandons the run even when it's working. Except when he didn't have Brees and didn't feel the need to showcase his QB at the expense of doing what was best for the team.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

The worst part is we had the answer in Taysom. Just as soon as we started moving the ball he was replaced with Brees and BOOM back to the old result.

Watching the Patriots playoff game I found myself coveting an Edelman type player for Brees. Heck even the Niners have TWO wide receivers barely half as talented as Micheal Thomas but know how to work zones, get open and get YAC.

No WR on our roster can do that. If we had them, Brees's career would extend.

Real fact time: the Saints went 5-0 the last time Brees wasn’t the QB. This should lead you to think.. is it Brees or Payton?

Brees sucked without Payton, however Payton went 5-0 without Brees.

Do you think those 53 guys still have faith in Brees or prefer Hill or Bridgewater? It’s time to move on.
Gotta protect the QB to be able to protect the football that fumble was as much Ryan's fault as it was Drews

I mean we don't go deep that's not a secret, Having been going deep for a while. That Oline is the blame IDC what anyone says. The INT wasn't the best throw but the Safety made a better attempt on the ball than Ted Ginn did he's worthless body catcher. He doesn't jump he doesn't stretch out. If he actually attacks the ball it's Inc pass
