Re: 2020 NFL Draft: Saints Prospects
Saw a Yahoo "mock" draft ...
Have us taking QB - Jordan Love @ # 24. Side note - he's only 21 years of age. Worth the development? |
Re: 2020 NFL Draft: Saints Prospects
Some great work in this thread fellas! I was telling JP yesterday that after our latest playoff embarrassment I had to take a little break from Saints football so I haven’t been as active as I usually would be. I’m a little behind on draft prospects but with the Combine on the horizon I’m starting to watch more tape. Lots of good stuff to watch in this thread!

One guy that has really caught my eye is TCU CB Jeff Gladney. Specifically, it’s his physicality and willingness in run support that jump out at me. There’s shades of Jaire Alexander to Gladney.
In all honesty, I’m scared of giving Marshon Lattimore a big contract extension. He’s developed a reputation for being lazy and that’s on his rookie deal. The big payday hasn’t even come yet. Draft a guy we can develop for a year and then trade Latt possibly for a 1st round pick next year. |

So how he performs at the UnderRoos Olympics will tilt whether he moves into the back of the first round or slides to the end of the second round; he's shown some speed and quicks, but his workout will be telling... For my money, I like Miss St. Cameron Dantzler more as he faced better competition in the SEC et al top teams and performed as well on some less than ideal talented Miss St teams... |

The consistent knock by scouts on CJ is his inability to "wrap up" on tackles. If you can't do the basics of 101 tackling ... pass. |

Cam Akers - RB Florida State
Put up nice numbers on a under whelming O line & can catch the football out of the back field. With good coaching & a stout offensive line, he could take the next step. Possible mid round steal. He's a Mississippi born and raised kid. Not sure how Ole Miss/Miss State/LSU passed on him. |
