Re: 2020 NFL Draft: Saints Prospects
Do you guys know much about UL Lafayette’s Robert Hunt? I think he played some tackle at ULL but projects best to LG. Does he have Payton’s desired “ass and mass” and the mean streak we need?

Hadn't seen him play but from the scouting reports I've read, he could be one of the top "under the radar" prospects in this draft class. Although ULL (always gonna be USL for me) got steam rolled vs Bama, it appears Hunt held his own and played extremely well. Early projections have him selected between 3-5 rounds. FWIW, he's been invited to the NFL combine to showcase his talents. Saints really could use another dawg on the O line. |

Offensive Linemen
There's the Physical Checklist matching up to the offensive scheme... Leverage: How quickly and consistently do they get into position off the snap... Power: Can they absorb their opponents' power; and, can they physically move their opponent... Feet: how quickly and consistently do they get into position off the snap; and can they make solid, effective combo blocks on first level (DT, DE), and second level (LB, DB)... Hand Placement: do they consistently put their hands inside the shoulders, if they miss results in missed block or a holding call... Availability: Do they stay healthy, Ironmen Position Flexibility: How many positions can they play on line... |
