He's a Top 7 pick and that'd be a loooong way up the draft. Then again, Sean P isn't without precedent (Davenport), and just guaranteed $33mil to LG Andrus Peat...

Thanks JP …

Yes Simmons. Maybe, just maybe he falls far enough the way Ramz did a few drafts ago.

I know I'm dreaming though.

Our pick seems like a prime spot to go CB. We have no depth there. If I had to guess I’d say right now we should lean toward picking a boundary CB.

Good point XVI.

I think that the Sanders signing gives the Saints more flexibility at pick 24.

CB, LB are my choices. Two NFC South contenders (Panthers, Bucs) upgraded at QB so we need guys who can cover.

Yep signing Sanders definitely puts us in a fantastic situation when it comes to the first round. If we still want to add another WR we can feel a lot more comfortable about waiting until the 3rd round for a guy like Van Jefferson.

With all of the QB’s, O-Linemen and WR’s probably going earlier in the first round, we’ll likely have our pick of any CB not named Okudah or CJ Henderson.

Separating Davenport factors out, taking away how foolishly Payton overspent, taking away just a first round pick, what you have left is a talented edge rusher who hasn't shown the fortitude of health for 16gms...

Would we not take AJ Epenesa if he's there at 24? Javon Kinlaw looks like he's gone in the Top 15. So Edge Rusher has to be a consideration as well...

As deep as CB2 and WRZ are in this draft, we need to call teams with two R2s (e.g. IND, CHI, MIA) and move back get those twos; the WR we take in the second round could have a first round grade, just saying...

I personally wouldn’t take Epenesa at 24. He’s much better suited to play on the inside than on the edge. He has no bend whatsoever and no burst.

Think he looks and plays exactly like Cam Jordan, who was also taken at No. 24...

Not to high jack Draft talk but I want Marcus Davenport to work out in NO. The talent/ability is there but ...

Those injuries though. He can't help us in late January if he's wearing street clothes.

And maybe part of getting him to success is bringing in another edge rusher to take the load off until he can build his core strength to take the NFL punishment; that's why I brought it up as well...
