He is delaying nothing in regards to the team and planning. The Saints are valued at roughly $2.3BN and if Loomis doesn't have succession plans in place for Sean Payton, Drew Brees, Michael Thomas, any one that is key to the franchises value he isn't worthy of the position that he holds. This is especially for Drew Brees who is year to year and was injured this year... There are plans in concrete already. Drews status will be known well before the legal tampering period that starts 16th of March, Free Agency, or the Draft...

We're talking Loomis here. He's not a hands on GM as it is. He's just an accountant.

Read my words carefully. No where in that post did I say that Loomis wrote any succession plans. What I said was that he has them in place. Sean has a strategy for any player falling, Loomis has a strategy if something happened to Sean, and Gayle has a short list if Loomis and Sean go fishing and get et by da gators.

I am quite sure a $2BN franchise has accountants, Loomis is not one of them. His under graduate is in accounting but his Masters is in Sports Administration.
