Its not that long ago that people look at us the way we do the Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins now.
But even with all that said I can understand why some people would like a change. My favorite coach Always said Football is a young mans game. And if not that it is atleast a "What have you done for me lately" business. Personally I love Drew Brees and for all his done for the club I hope he gets to play as long as he wants. I can even stand us having a crappy season or two if thats what it comes to. Being able to keep to thoughts at the same time; I am however excited about the prospect of getting a new QB whenever that happens, mainly because of the style of football I like best. I love the big armed gun-slingers. Favre might be my all-time favorite. Somebody who can throw a 60yd dart to a really speedy reciever. (I'm rooting for the Chiefs for that reason, and because I like the walruss) Couple that with some Power running and I am a happy camper. Thats not the type of offence that can be run with Brees, he never had an howitzer for an arm and it has gotten weaker, especially when he can't plant his feet and use his great technique to launch it. |
W.T. Sherman is my favorite General. After all he did order Atlanta to be burned to the ground.

Re: Drew Brees’ retirement talk isn’t idle chatter
This is all so full of crap. Florio says in the podcast that his personal prediction is that the Saints would want to have 2020 be a transition year for Hill to move into the starting role in 2021. Since then, I have seen other stories based upon Florio's "suppositions" stating that "word out of the Saints camp" is that they "want to have 2020 be a transition year for Hill to move into the starting role in 2021".
This is how it works and why you can't believe anything you read from the "media" on the web. There is no "word out of the Saints camp". Even if they were thinking about this they sure wouldn't share it with the outside world. Supposition by Florio gets converted into fact for lazy, ignorant internet masses. |

The annual what will Brees do articles based off guesses to provoke reactions. Same as the Payton going to Dallas stories every year. How has Brady who is older than Brees not had these articles written about him every year?

Re: Drew Brees’ retirement talk isn’t idle chatter
Drew is here for at least one more year. He will continue to break records and will lead us to the playoffs again. If we had a better O-line and run game he could play a couple of more years as a game manager while Payton keeps looking for his replacement.
For those of you who want Drew Brees to retire now.....suffer bitc***! |
