Yeah, more than a week is a concern; have no factual insight on his particular case that I can disclose...

Other than my experience, knowledge of this injury type that is telling me they're hoping to reduce a dislocation, inflammation and are avoiding sx until after the season (i.e. Lombardi Gras)...

Going into the neck region is not good for a career, especially if it's an orthopedist in lead; when dealing with spine, I'd want a neurosurgeon taking lead with orthopedist et al specialties in consultation...
