Re: Saints agree to terms with G/T Andrus Peat on five-year contract
The KC Chiefs were interested...
Don’t know how much they were offering him though. |

Re: Saints agree to terms with G/T Andrus Peat on five-year contract
It’s not about who’s right or wrong, it’s about who has the most information.
We know when we saw Pete get injured but we don’t know how long he was playing hurt before and after. I do not defer to the front office because I think they are right... Much like a draft pick, only time will determine that. I defer to the front office because they made a business decision with more information then we all cumulatively possess. |

I think the FO took the best option available. Name 7 guards that are available?????

Re: Saints agree to terms with G/T Andrus Peat on five-year contract
Very disappointed...
We just signed one of the worst starting OGs to a fat long term deal, and from what I’ve read the guy was getting ZERO interest on the open market. We just solidified having a weak interior O line for years... great! This offseason so far has been a bust. Edit: As someone posted, he got some interest from KC. Should have let him walk. :/ |

Go look at our offensive performance through the year. Pick our best 5 games in yards or points, and look at who played OG (here is a hint, Peat wasn’t one of them). For those saying he was hurt all season... please, most players get banged up and play. Furthermore, when has Peat ever been good? Certainly not good enough for this big contract. I’m willing to bet he gets cut in less than 3 seasons. |

Yeah your right... let’s not ever question decisions they make... we all know how good we are in free agency with our great pick ups like Byrd and Browner, while we let guys walk like A. Hicks and Jenkins... but sure let’s not question it.
