For the record, I thought the Peat re-signing was dumb. The Sanders signing, I think is great. And I don't care how much more the Saints know about their players than I do. "Knowing" things does not guarantee a good decision. Sometimes teams ignore obvious regression, for the hope that they can somehow help the player "rediscover" their prior form. Happens all the time. And forums are not meant for universal butt kissing. I wish some people would understand that. |
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

Re: Emmanuel Sanders
BTW.....some of you should look at Sanders numbers. we still need to address WR in the draft.....and early. Trading back makes sense.

And did you see how his production immediately went up when he went to the 67ers, despite having to learn a new offense? Jimmy Garoppolo is about as average as it gets, but even he looked like a hall of famer, compared to the QB's in Denver. His numbers dipped at the very end of the year, when Garoppolo started tanking. He'll have a competent QB here. The last point, is I don't think getting a speed guy matters as long as Brees is still the QB. He's proven he can't throw the deep ball anymore, other than the occasional 35 yard heave that flutters it's way out there. It is strategically essential to have great route runners who can get open in the intermediate areas and make tough catches when needed, with Brees at the helm. Sanders qualifies, and we already know Thomas does. |

Re: Emmanuel Sanders
I think your reading comprehension glitched.
I know he was being sarcastic. I didn't say anything to suggest that he ACTUALLY didn't like the signing. He took a sarcastic shot at people who "dared" to question the front office earlier. I'm not sure how you managed to miss the entire context of what I said. |

Re: Emmanuel Sanders
Good move...we've been waiting for this for awhile. Finally a number 2.
Now hoping our interior oline play holds up. |
