He might have been an UDFA but then he would have been free to sign with any team. The odds of any 5-7 round picks making this years team was going to be minimal anyway. I don't mine the pick or what it took to get him.

On paper, I think this was a solid Saints 2020 draft.
Secured a big nasty O lineman, a sideline dawg at LB, a TE (Trautman) that some scouts believe can be as good as Travis Kelsey & a Taysom clone in Tommy S. |
