Saints Draft Days Official Thread

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; DT for me. It really hurt us down the stretch and they normally can start right out the gate. WR and OL can take 2-3 years. I would entertain a Kamara trade for sure. Lots of strong value at RB. ...

So if the Saints stay at 24, about what time CST would that have them on the clock

Hour and a half probably a good time to check in. 2 hour and change I would say is about right. Barring any trades and IT glitches.

$100 bucks says the Patriots mysteriously lose connection when they have about 5 seconds left on the clock.

I don't think anyone is worth two first round picks. And we have a terrible track record of moving up in the first round. Anybody remember Jonathan Sullivan? Davenport is not in the same realm, and I still have hope for him, but not worth two first round picks. And then there was Ricky Williams.

Joe and Trevor could be the next Ryan Leaf. You never know until it's hindsight. You could argue Peyton Manning or John Elway or even Mahomes are worth two first round picks, but the Jury is still out on new guys.

I'm not a fan of Lawrence. Didn't like what I saw with him under constant pressure applied. Has a long way to go to figure things out. We'll see this season, smart he held back.

Shocker of the draft would be if the Saints didn’t trade up in the first round

Actually that would be a definite shocker, but a trade down from 24 would be the ultimate shocker. History says best to have lots of picks.

I love AK but if we traded him for more picks while he still has value might be a good idea. You roll the dice this season because he either plays great and you have to pay him or he plays mediocre and you get nothing for him.

BB trades him
