I am good with Drew for expressing his opinion and not sugar-coating it. I am also cool with several Saints current and former showing their saltiness about it. Emotions are high after the George Floyd execution and whatever you believe it is just more heartfelt now than it ever was before.

Here is what I hope ... it would be great if we cross racial lines on this issue. Meaning at least one of our black Saints aligns with Drew and says he also can't get behind kneeling during the anthem, and likewise at least one of our white Saints kneels during the anthem because the feeling of alienation moves him to do so.

We've got a strong locker room, and as soon as the cleats hit the field we'll find a way to bring the humility and comradery back.
