Brees is not racist. Brees is not ignorant. Millions are racist. Millions are ignorant. All of us have beliefs that differs from others in large and small ways depending on the level of said beliefs. None of us are 100 percent correct or 100 percent wrong on 100 percent of our beliefs. Brees's original statement is not racist or ignorant. With all that's going on and due to the sensitive and volatile nature of it all, his original comments showed that he is human. Imperfect like us all. He has apologized. His apology was thoughtful and sincere. I believe his is a better person today than he was yesterday. All of us could use one of those moments. A moment of clarity. A moment of true understanding beyond ourselves.
