Hadn't realized that no one has been effected as much by a lack of PreSeason Games than Taysom Hill, where an NFL QB needs as many snaps as possible to hone his skills, craft...

Now, if he's truly the No.2, he'll have to take those snaps in regular season games - when it all counts, so it'll be interesting to see what Payton doesn in the God-forbid, unforeseen happening...

He'll play Winston just like he played Bridgewater. Hill is not the #2 as long as Winston, or any other viable option is on the roster.

KW just needs coaching up, something Payton's teams haven't been too patient in doing unless backed into a corner like 2017, but the results were tremendous...

All this trading up has negatively affected our ability to address multiple positions in getting youth coming in behind starters so we're not always in salary-cap purgatory...

We should be bringing in at least one new boundary CB and one S every season, with at least one Day 1 or Day 2 pick spent in that group every year...

But that's where we are investing in the trenches.

We built a strong D-line and O-line recently. Maybe it's time to invest highly in other positions.

They were talking about this today on NFL Network. Teams are sitting players with the most minor of dings just to make sure they have players ready on day one. You get a hangnail and your out until week one. That way you get to see more of the backups. Teams aren't wanting to take any chances with starters if not necessary is what they were saying.

Well, we now know there was nothing minor about Alvin Kamara's knee, and Payton now has a consistent history of understating player injuries...
