I served (31 years ago), and it was in combat. When I enlisted, I did so without anyone... family or friends being consulted or even knowing. I did not enlist as an investment in any sort of future adoration or prestige. If any veterans are getting azzhurt over the actions of propaganda riddled corporate America it might be time to reflect on why you joined as well as what you have done since signing that paper that makes you feel entitled to a status higher than American. Did you sign that paper to be owed something?
As soldiers, veterans, the opinions or musings of civilians should never change our core functions, views, or beliefs.
I am expecting any veteran to be tempered enough to be able to handle this discussion pragmatically.
