Bottom line, I would rather see the newly drafted rookie instead of the guy you know can’t play up to speed.
Tbh, I think he was injured 99% of the year. I could be wrong. But I think he was placed on IR before the season or at the beginning of it.

I think he was more of a ST player, seems to be the norm for Payton’s rookies. But, he did have 3 starts last year, can’t really tell you if ultimately wound up on IR.
