Two GROWN men, playing a game, get so worked up, over what? Trash talk? Some sort of personal difference? You equate this to wars? K then...

I got in a few fist fights in jr high and high school.

Then I grew up.

Give me Colston's attitude over this childish silliness.

Coach sat him for his trouble. Good job coach. I guess Sean is looking down at all the mortals too.
And it was handled by CSP, so it’s not an issue.

Ppl make make mistakes.

This game is specifically built around dominating your assigned opponent physically, mentally and emotionally 100% unambiguously so. I want my players to individually destroy their assignments (the opposing players) so badly they quit playing and begin crying in the middle of the field, so badly the beaten opponents hang up their cleats and retire from the game.

If you don’t understand why tempers would flare, then we just see two differing versions of “the game”. This isn’t me playing when I was 8 years old in the Mighty Might league; unicorns and faeries aren’t in the locker rooms.

I do understand why tempers flare. I'm a grownup. I also understand that saying, "I punched that guy because my temper flared" is precisely the same as saying, "I can't control my temper."

No excuse for an adult to strike another adult while PRACTICING or PLAYING a game. Control your temper, play within the rules, or get off the field.

Very happy coach agrees. Reasonable people win again...

Pretty much everyone loses their temper once in a while and it’s generally out of frustration. As far as throwing a punch, how many “get the fu&k off me” punches are thrown from the bottom of a pile each play? That’s frustration and losing your temper. No difference and doesn’t make 3/4 of the team people with anger issues and uncontrollable tempers.

Tom Brady throwing his helmet.. losing his temper. The only reason he throws his helmet and not a fist is because even the kicker could whip his ass. It’s a tactile decision lol.

With all the crap going on this year/season in life I’d expect stress to be up, fuses to be short, and I’m surprised we haven’t seen more flair ups.

Everyone loses their temper. Not everyone strikes another person. As a "strategy" at the bottom of a scrum is not the same as striking another human being out of anger.

There simply is no excuse.
