They talked about this very scenario on Moving the Chains a couple of days ago when a caller suggested the Falcons should trade Julio Jones. They said that it was impossible to trade him until 2022 because of his contract cap hit, which is very similar to Thomas'. The same with Matt Ryan. |

Agreed, specifically wrt to our player Thomas, that would ultimately be a cost benefit analysis that, imho, I would have a very difficult time understanding the reason or logic behind it, if it were to happen. Regardless, I’m a fan of the player, he’s a superstar. He dominates the playing field..., you just don’t find those types of players every day. And I look forward to him getting healthy and on the field.
