Saints willing to consider Michael Thomas trade?

This is true, but that road travel two ways. You can kick it up road if extending or restructuring a player. But, that can comes barreling straight downhill into your face if you attempt to cut ties with that player too early in the contract.

They talked about this very scenario on Moving the Chains a couple of days ago when a caller suggested the Falcons should trade Julio Jones. They said that it was impossible to trade him until 2022 because of his contract cap hit, which is very similar to Thomas'. The same with Matt Ryan.

Agreed, specifically wrt to our player Thomas, that would ultimately be a cost benefit analysis that, imho, I would have a very difficult time understanding the reason or logic behind it, if it were to happen. Regardless, I’m a fan of the player, he’s a superstar. He dominates the playing field..., you just don’t find those types of players every day. And I look forward to him getting healthy and on the field.

Right there with you. In reference to the other thread, Michael Thomas is easily one of my all-time favorites and I hope to see him breaking records and winning championships with the Saints for the next decade.
