When we have a chance to score TD’s we need to score TD’s. Period. The New Orleans Saints should never get 3 and outted on offense. Not with all that hype surrounding Brees, Kamara, and Payton.

Simple... this DB#9 isn’t 2009 DB#9. Over the last few years, the offense has been more conservative, more accurate, quite frequently..., more boring, lol. You can win Superbowls with that philosophy

Your defense is focused money-wise. You have to have a shutdown defense to operate the check-down offense we have. And frankly when you’re dead last in the NFL in passing TD’s allowed...

...you need to have an offense that can sling it also. Keep in mind that Chicago is #1 on that list. A very windy and cold day, in an opponents stadium, it could have ended up very differently.

It was a good win Rez. It may not have passed the eye-test, but Chicago is a pretty darn good defense.

Three things that need to happen with this team right now...

Starts at the top with Payton turning play-calling over to Carmichael, at least for a while, to keep opponents from locking-in, especially those that set Taysom up to fail (not saying it's intentional)...

Agreed, there are things that need to be addressed but I am an outsider looking in and cant put a finger on what exactly are the root causes other than a complete lack of focus from Loomis down.

The only person however that will/can check Sean Payton is Mickey Loomis. Asking Sean Payton or any person for that matter to change their own behaviors is a fools errand. The perfect analogy for someone changing someone else's bad behaviors is my Dr. Phil Analogy.. He is a professional, 'catch me outside girl" is a child and he had absolutely zero effect on her, zip, nada, zilch :).

There is an entire book by Marshall Goldsmith available that covers the Saints though it isn't about the Saints. It is titled "What got you here, won't get you there." Pair that with "Built to Last" by Jim Collins and you are prepared to address the Saints issues.

I remember seeing defensive players comment in support of Rob Ryan, I have yet to see one supporting Dennis Alan which tells me the players aren't on board for some reason. Might be Dennis, might be his defensive planning, might be the summers social media debacle. Regardless of the reason they aren't interested in saving his job.

As far as for the unicorn milk vs sh1t show points of view, our personalities drive those. Some are glass 1/2 full, some are glass 1/2 empty, I am a glass is at 50% v/v sort of guy. Which keeps me from being angry all the time as well as helping me avoid disappointment should the New Orleans Saints be... The New Orleans Saints.:bng:

-I really despise seeing a 3rd and 6 pattern thrown to a guy at 4 yards. That's not even trying to get a first down. Brees IS still capable of throwing the ball 35 yards with accuracy.
-Payton is so determined to put on tape that T. Hill is NOT going to throw the ball. How about letting him throw a few or SEVERAL so that defenses won't know what to expect? Instead of maybe fooling them one time, how about have them guessing all the time?
-Jordan is not healthy or should be traded while other teams not paying attention think he's still really good.
-Four in a row without MT. Why is he getting paid $17 million a year? I jest. I think slightly better about him taking a swing at CGJ now. An at best marginal NFL player probably ended his career last night while taking 3 swings at CGJ. On national tv. Out in the wide open for all to see. CGJ would be an all pro on the Ravens. His talents are largely wasted in an Allen defense. You don't ask a mean m*f* to dance.
-Cook looks to be injured as well. Limited snaps. Outside of blown coverage's he doesn't get open. Maybe being saved for the stretch run.
-God bless Rankins, he just can't stay healthy. To be playing and playing so well is a testament to his heart and determination with all the injuries he's previously endured.
-Seven games in, Kamara has taken a beating. And he is fully aware of avoiding hits especially on the sideline. He's a bad dude but he's going to be essential for the Saints to make any run in the playoffs.
-Beware of the road favorite.

I agree with this. I really don't understand why the THill offense isn't based around a RPO concept. There's no way for the linebackers to account for the running back, the receiver, and THill himself in such a package. So, each time it's run, no matter what the defense does, it's the wrong answer for that play.
