this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I think it will be Ian Book. Hoping we find a way to draft him. He reminds me a little of Jake Plummer. Just watch Ian, he has a lot of composure, seems hard to rattle. Does a nice job ...

The steal at QB in the next NFL Draft
I think it will be Ian Book. Hoping we find a way to draft him.
He reminds me a little of Jake Plummer. Just watch Ian, he has a lot of composure, seems hard to rattle. Does a nice job of escaping the pocket and making the right play. Ian doesn't have spectacular Aaron Rodgers or Mahomes throws - but with the young skill players we have on offense (Kamara, Thomas, hopefully Trautman) - we just need a QB with the ability to spread the ball around and give the pass rush headaches. If we could get Book in the 6th or 7th round and have him backup Brees for a year and then take over ... that could be something! |

I hate to tell you guys this... but Jameis is taking over next year. Payton is enamored with him. He’s been a slam dunk fit in the locker room.

Re: The steal at QB in the next NFL Draft
Is Payton keeping Jameis out of the limelight to get him on the cheap
He deserves to be paid above journeyman’s wages this year I want Jameis to be our starter for a decade in 2021 and really learn and mature at the clipboard behind Drew Wish they would have let him loose agains his old team sunday night I do want to see him surprisingly come in and launch a bomb |

With the way the NFL protects QB's I don't think we'll have the Billy Joe syndrome ever again. |
