After the second Buc's game he was grinning from ear to ear in the post game interview. Two weeks ago he was on NFL Radio being interviewed by Brett Favre and he said he's having as much fun playing the game now as he ever has.
I just don't get this perception that he's "empty" or "unhappy". Where are y'all picking that up? Understandably he was disappointed to have gotten injured in the last game. There's no place he would have rather been than out on the field at that time and not stuck on the sideline. |

It is the final chapter. But, the story is FAR from written.

Re: Drew Brees to IR
They were talking about the whole Taysom/Winston starting deal yesterday on Moving the Chains and they both said that they felt this being Brees' final season was far from being a given. They said he's still a top five QB in the league and may even place him at #4 in front of Brady.

Re: Drew Brees to IR
Some people don't see it. I definitely see it. He looks hollow and empty at times rather than his usual laser focus. He doesn't have that same eye of the tiger anymore. It's been a rough year and it's telling on him!

I still think you are projecting how you would handle things on him expecting the same. Don't forget that this is the same guy that has overcome odds time and time again in his career. |

There were times in years past when you'd be able to see what kind of game Brees would have because he'd just have that insanely intense look on his face pregame, the defenses never stood a chance - it was normally prior to Monday Night Football games. The many times the camera is on Drew pregame or during the game this year, there's just kind of like an empty, worried look in his eyes. Thats what it looks like to me anyway. |
