11 rib fractures and still lead 2 scoring drives, one with a passing TD.

Drew is old school, can't ever question his toughness.

There were times in years past when you'd be able to see what kind of game Brees would have because he'd just have that insanely intense look on his face pregame, the defenses never stood a chance - it was normally prior to Monday Night Football games.

The many times the camera is on Drew pregame or during the game this year, there's just kind of like an empty, worried look in his eyes. Thats what it looks like to me anyway.
I'm not looking for it but that's what I see too.

That's what you think. You have told me that you would have never forgiven Malcolm Jenkins if you were Brees. Well, he has and you aren't. You are projecting how you would feel in his shoes. Let Brees be his own man.

Re: Drew Brees to IR

Just an fyi ...

Larry Holder of the Athletic stated today on a radio show that the Saints are expecting Brees to realistically return in week 15.

By the way, week 15 is when the Chiefs/Patrick Mahommes come to town.

Timestamp starting at 8:55 on Brees ...

Re: Drew Brees to IR

THey need to start Jameis now

Sean has his unique toy Taysom
And the media darlings love him

Winston has proven himself in this league
And needs the reps

If we are still a game ahead keep Drew out another week or two

Jameis came in suddenly in the SF game
Moved the ball when Sean allowed him to

Had some timing issues with Thomas
And threw away a goal line corner route to avoid a long pick 6
At 2:20

Please - bring in winston and the occasional Taysom

Re: Drew Brees to IR

I think the Jameis ship has sailed one way or the other. Either the Saints and Jameis have a handshake agreement to give him a fair shot at being the starter next year (or whenever Brees retires), or Payton has already decided that he's riding with Hill. The old switcher-roo with Winston now just doesn't make any sense.

Re: Drew Brees to IR

I’m not saying it is going to happen, but it would be some major trickeration if Payton started Jameis instead of Taysom after the Falcons spent all week prepping to play TH.

Sean has said that Taysom was always the 2nd in line, the only reason Jameis came in vs 49ers was because Sean didn't have the time to redesign the offense to fit Taysom within 15 minutes at half time.

Taysom isn't perfect at the moment, but we are 2-0 which is all we can ask for. Jameis is a turnover machine, always has been.
