What have you been watching? He's looked like one of the best QB's in the league today. Do you ever watch any football? He runs the Payton offense better than any other could.

Of course my friend. He’s always incredible. He just looks unhappy to me.

I can definitely agree here, he doesn't look his normal self.

He looks a little empty at times and I'm not used to seeing him that way.

He doesn't look any different tome than he ever has. Brees has never been a "rah-rah" type of guy on the sideline. Show me pictures of him smiling and having fun in the past. When the ball is kicked he has always pure business until the final second ticks off the clock. He has always been intense during the games. After games are different. After the second Buc's game he was grinning from ear to ear in the post game interview. Two weeks ago he was on NFL Radio being interviewed by Brett Favre and he said he's having as much fun playing the game now as he ever has.

I just don't get this perception that he's "empty" or "unhappy". Where are y'all picking that up? Understandably he was disappointed to have gotten injured in the last game. There's no place he would have rather been than out on the field at that time and not stuck on the sideline.

It is the final chapter. But, the story is FAR from written.

They were talking about the whole Taysom/Winston starting deal yesterday on Moving the Chains and they both said that they felt this being Brees' final season was far from being a given. They said he's still a top five QB in the league and may even place him at #4 in front of Brady.

Some people don't see it. I definitely see it. He looks hollow and empty at times rather than his usual laser focus. He doesn't have that same eye of the tiger anymore. It's been a rough year and it's telling on him!

Sorry. I just don't see it and I watch every minute of every game intently. It looks every bit as focus as he ever has. Show me a shot of him looking hollow and empty. Besides, it's been a rough year on everybody, but how is leading the NFC in record tough? Once again, show me where he is hollow and empty.

I still think you are projecting how you would handle things on him expecting the same. Don't forget that this is the same guy that has overcome odds time and time again in his career.

That's the thing I noticed too.

There were times in years past when you'd be able to see what kind of game Brees would have because he'd just have that insanely intense look on his face pregame, the defenses never stood a chance - it was normally prior to Monday Night Football games.

The many times the camera is on Drew pregame or during the game this year, there's just kind of like an empty, worried look in his eyes. Thats what it looks like to me anyway.
