Re: The Official Eating Crow About Taysom Thread
I was truly always a believer. The man is just a leader and a winner. His talents are good and his intangibles are off the charts. That being said, EVERYONE around him deserves equal to greater credit for yesterdays game. EVERYBODY stepped up. Thomas, Murray, and Easton on offense. Jordan, Hendrickson, Smith, and Janoris on defense. Payton and Allen for calling a great game.

Did any of you share that **** with Stephen A? That loud mouth was yelling about Hill last week.

Re: The Official Eating Crow About Taysom Thread
I saw a lot of Brees in Taysom yesterday. You can really tell he has learned from the master!

I had a good feeling about him. Now I have a great feeling about him. I was impressed with his pocket presence and skill throwing the ball. I expected good things to happen and he exceeded my expectations.

Re: The Official Eating Crow About Taysom Thread
Taysom played how I think most expected. Very tight in most of the first half. A few bad throws, things you should expect from a guy that hasn't started at QB in 4+ years.
From a pure pocket passer I still think Jameis is the better option now since he has the most recent and largest amount of time as a NFL passer, however SP has shown to be able to build an offensive game-plan around whatever skills his QB has thus far. If he wants to put T Hill back there or J Winston I think everyone should just realize that for whatever reason SP has a reason to expect a QB's skills with his game-plan to be able to take care of business that week. Also the fact that none of us are pro scouts or talent evaluators is another reason to trust him. |

Re: The Official Eating Crow About Taysom Thread
I’ve had some time to digest and I have two lines of thought on Taysom Hill.
As a person, how absolutely amazing it must have been to be him this morning. Wake up and be able to know that all your hard work and struggle to get on that stage as a starting NFL QB, paid off. May have been the first time he’s ever said “fuc4 yeah”!!!. The feeling this morning must have been better than winning the lottery. As our starting QB, I’m cautiously optimistic. Partially because our offense has been inconsistent for a while now. Mostly because of the points below. * That was the Falcons and they aren’t spectacular, 5th worst allowed completion%, 30th yards allowed, and 3rd to last in total defensive rankings. 1. As pointed out, no one has tape on him as a QB yet. That changed yesterday. 2. We don’t know if SP will game plan to his strengths, or try to make a Drew out of him. 3. If he plays his style, how is his durability. 4. Can he keep his head out of the dirt and clouds through this very distracting transition. 5. Does our inconsistency go away with Taysom Hill under center? 6. Once SP let him carry on 3rd in the second half he seemed to extend a few drives where I would have expected us to 3/out with Drew. A lot of unknowns on the player. The rest of the offense seemed to respond to him very well. Even MT caught a couple :bng: |
Re: The Official Eating Crow About Taysom Thread
Too bad "DEFENSES HAVE TAYSOM FIGURED OUT" or the score may have been 48 - 9?
|
Re: The Official Eating Crow About Taysom Thread
I feel like the team and Taysom weren't in sync to start the game and progressively got closer and finally towards the end of the first half synced up and looked amazing.

Re: The Official Eating Crow About Taysom Thread
I just heard that Taysom called the wrong play on the very first play. It had to go uphill after that. LOL!
It was a good opponent for him to match up against in his first game. It doesn't look to get any tougher in his next two starts before Brees returns. |

Well said but all stats are out the window when these 2 meet. The clowns were all out the best game they played this season and our no2 out shined a stained britches QB. That was pounded by a improving defense that could carry this club till drew gets back Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Its a credit to MT too that he noticed Taysoms mistake and just got to his landmark regardless for the completion. Thats thinking on the fly. |

Vic Fangio will throw all type of exotic looks at our inexperienced back up QB. Denver will not be an easy game at all for the Saints and Taysom Hill. |

Denver will be no cake walk. By the way, let Brees heal up. There are no guarantees he'll be back at it in a couple of weeks. His body needs time to heal properly. |

That Fangio led defense has been shredded by all but bad offenses thus far. |
Re: The Official Eating Crow About Taysom Thread
It feels like 2009 in that I think we have a SB roster. Great players where we need them plus a veteran DB who doesn’t date rape and players like Harris, CGJ, Granderson to add that extra oomph.. The D isn’t as opportunistic as 2009’s D but the way we are getting pressure is just as special. Dare I say this could be it?

Re: The Official Eating Crow About Taysom Thread
This upcoming game vs Denver is at Mile High. Might not be a huge thing but isn't the altitude a factor also?
Forecast is calling for Clear and 38 F so cool but not anything that the Saints can't handle. |

The injuries where the majority of the fractures occurred is said to have been on the left side and have already had an additional week to heal. The lung isn't an issue at all. It should be completely healed in two weeks according to what I have been told. There's nothing wrong with being optimistic. Brees has proven that he can recover from injuries in a shorter timeframe than most. There's no reason for me not to expect the same once again. |
Re: The Official Eating Crow About Taysom Thread
When Brees the Medical staff his doctors and coaching staff ... when they all agree he is healed and ready and can effect the game plan without limitations ... Brees will be on the field.

Warford took more heat for Peat's bad play in that Vikes playoff game. IMO Brees simply looks less comfortable, tenative when AP is in there … specifically in the pocket. No wonder he has to check down a lot. |
Re: The Official Eating Crow About Taysom Thread
Does anyone find it comical that as soon as Peat left the game our offense started to roll? That happens almost every time. When Peat goes down I am actually excited about it, ugly thing to say but unfortunately it's true.

Re: The Official Eating Crow About Taysom Thread
Theory: Peat has never been happy not playing left tackle in New Orleans; thus, the unhappy attitude is reflective in his play...
