If he doesn't care why should you? Maybe because you are a screaming racist yourself? How dare those darkies dis a white man? Is that it?

If not explain why it is so important to you.
I figured that this conversation might head south but calling me a racist is absurd. I expect it from you, though.

Come on, Guido. Have a discussion without calling people these awful names for disagreeing with you. You are the poster that says you don't take anything personally and yet you end up being ugly in almost every thread.

Wow, honestly....

You said in another thread that if people block you for having a simple debate then that's their problem.

But someone sees something different to you and you degenerate to name calling and accusations of racism?

Where did I call you a racist? I simply asked if that was a possibility. I then asked you to give you explanation for your interpretation if that wasn't the case. Step back and read.

I'm still waiting for your answer. Why does it upset you so if it doesn't Brees?

He implied that Malcolm called Brees a racist. I don't see that. Jenkins simply said that that Brees did not understand the reason behind the protests and that hurt him as a friend. At no point do I remember Jenkins or any other teammate calling Brees a racist. They were hurt because they felt Brees did not understand that the protest wasn't degrading the flag or the military, but just drawing attention to something that needed attention.

Re: Malcolm Jenkins

You knew the thread would head south but you posted it anyway. Why was that? The team has put it behind them and have managed to win eight games in a row and gaining the best record in the NFC while missing important pieces along the way.

Why did you feel it was so important to post a thread that was expected to go south as you put it? What was your thought process?

Re: Malcolm Jenkins

Some of Brees’ teammates seemed to make it clear that his feelings about the flag and what it meant to him were less important than their feelings. Also implied he was ignorant and “didn’t know no better” because he did not support their actions; as if nobody who disagreed with them could possibly have an informed view. That doesn’t seem right to me.

And at any point to your recollection did any of them ever claim that "Brees is an ignorant racist"? Asking you as a third party here, Boston, to the debate.

Ignorant, yes. I don’t remember teammates calling him racist, no. One could say it was implied. But again, his initial statements were about his feelings and he was scorned for expressing them. Is he not allowed those ?

Of course he is, as was those in their responses. In private they all met and discussed it all and it was resolved to their mutual satisfaction. They all moved on to what is becoming a very successful season.

Yet some seem to stay fixated for some reason. If it mean nothing to those directly involved then why should it remain so disturbing to others? Perplexing, no?

Re: Malcolm Jenkins

I guess I don’t see where anyone in the thread here expressed anything to say they weren’t over the situation. It’s just talk to fill up time between Saints games. And going back to the initial statements, sure Many players( Brees included) expressed their opinions, but Brees was the only one that was ridiculed for his and pressured by public opinion to apologize for the way he feels about his grandparents service. Let that sink in. He had to apologize for expressing his pride And feelings for what his grandparents did. Surely you can see where some fans felt put off by that- especially those who feel similarly as he does.
