QBs have feet to go along with the arm and that one ran for 106 yards averaging 5.8 YPC, threw 30 passes without a single interception, and was never sacked. For a rookie QB against a "top defense" that is lights out football. No mistakes against a seasoned defense is all it takes to win in most cases. |

However, they did have 120 yards after catch. We had only 113 on eleven more completions. Those numbers are not indicative of having "lit someone up".
Our playing from behind the entire game put a ton of pressure on the defense. It created over-pursuit (we blitzed 12 times!) which resulted in those big plays on the ground. 40% of Hurts' rushing yards came on four scrambles. He had 14 other carries for the remainder. By the way, Miles Sanders had over 71% of his 115 yards on one play. He only averaged 2.4 YPC on the other 13. Hill's (and Payton's) inability to generate any offense in the first half is what allowed the Eagles' ground game to shred our tiring defense early on. Mistakes just compounded the problem. A few big plays, a bad interception, a bad fumble, and two missed FG's is what lit us up. |

Re: Question about Saints losing to backup/rookie Qb’s
Hurts didn’t need to throw the ball. Their running game was so successful and they stuck with it. 246 rushing yards allowed, 6.8 yards per carry on 36 rushing attempts. Ridiculously bad. Yes, turnovers hurt, yes missed field goals and missed turnovers from our defense hurt. All three phases failed to step forward an “take control” of the game. Two months ago, roughly, the Cowboys gave up just over 300 yards rushing and I called it one of the worst defenses to EVER play the game. The Saints defense did some things well, but 246 yards rushing allowed and two 100 yard rushers, in one game is...
Utter failure. |

If I was planning a game against the Saints O with Hill as QB, number one thing I would do is NOT let him run off scrambles. I.E. contain. Eagles did that.

Credit Philly def coordinator Jim Schwartz for finding a weakness and exposing it. I'm anxious to see how our defense responds against against an elite Chiefs offense that can score points in a hurry. |

What’s the worst weather you’ve ever flown in Major? What do you think about those “storm chasers” who fly into hurricanes ?
